Inspection Engineer

Candidate would be responsible for inspection of fabrication and erection activities at sites for Fired Heater / Piping related projects in Refineries or similar locations.

Job Includes :

  • Inspection of structural and piping fabrication work at workshop/ site

  • Welding inspection

  • Incoming material inspection

  • NDT review

  • Preparation and review of QA/ QC documentation:

    • Inspection reports

    • QAP, ITP

    • Job procedures

  • Preparation and approval of WPS, PQR

  • Welder qualification (WPQ)

  • Coordination with client, consultant and company head office. 

  • any other activity required to ensure job completion in the time and as per client requirements

Desired Candidate Profile :

B.Tech / B.E. / Diploma in Engineering

Candidate should necessarily be a Mechanical Engineer or Diploma holder with minimum 5 years experience of inspection of structural or piping fabrication works. Candidate should have good knowledge of welding codes and standards and NDT (DPT, RT, UT, etc.). Candidates having ASNT NDT Level II certification would be preferred.

Candidate should be able to prepare WPS, PQR and WPQ formats based on various applicable codes (ASME Sec IX, IS 9595, etc.) He / She should be able to independly prepare QA/ QC documentation and reports. In addition candidates should possess good communication skills and computer proficiency.

Candidates having specific knowledge of Fired Heater Projects would be given preference.

Location : 

Sanand (Ahmedabad) / Baroda / Panipat / Baddi / Guwahati / Bongaigaon

The location for the job would be project dependent. Currently company has projects at locations mentioned above. However the candidate should be willing to relocate as and when required by the company.
